Georgia RB Trevor Etienne pleads no contest to reckless driving

Georgia running back Trevor Etienne is no longer facing DUI charges after pleading no contest to reckless driving, underage possession of alcohol and two other lesser driving offenses on Wednesday.Etienne, who was arrested on March 24, appeared at a hearing in Athens-Clarke County (Ga.) Municipal Court.”We’re pleased the evidence didn’t support the DUI charge to begin with,” Etienne’s attorney Kim Stephens told the Athens Banner-Herald. “We’re pleased the solicitor’s office saw that and agreed to something that wasn’t a DUI.”The 20-year-old Etienne is expected to be Georgia’s lead ball carrier after two seasons at Florida.Etienne was arrested by Athens-Clarke Couty police on charges of drunken driving, affixing materials that reduce visibility through the windows or windshield and failure to maintain a lane or improper driving.
